What you will be doing

• Design and implement well-structured REST APIs that follow best practices.
• Optimise and manage PostgreSQL databases for high performance and reliability.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of backend services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Implement unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner.

Necessary technical skills

• Exceptional programming skills in Java
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Web Services technologies experience, i.e. REST, GraphQL and GRPC
• Experience working with native query and JPA
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience developing Spring Boot services
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience working with Cloud environments and technologies (GCP preferred)
• Basic knowledge of blockchain systems
• A strong level of professional Software Engineering experience
• An actionable level of knowledge with SOLID / Clean Code Principles
• Experience with Agile methodologies
